A place I used to love. Has really gone downhill. Food is not good enough to be worth the long wait. They often get the order wrong. Went there tonight to eat outside, but they had closed off the upper deck area because they claimed it was about to rain despite the fact that the sky was crystal clear without a cloud in sight. They need a more convincing lie. I resent having my intelligence insulted. Had to sit 3 of us at a tiny table in the lower section. Fed up. Do not plan to return.

I live in D.C. now, and I miss my Sweeney's! Not only is the atmosphere, food and drink tops, it's a great place to meet up with friends and create memories. Was just back home over Thanksgiving, and the only thing I requested of my friends was a Sweeney's run on Saturday night. Oddly enough, they were more than happy to comply!

As an ex-St. Paulite living in Tampa I can honestly say this is a fun place that I dearly miss going to-not only for the great beer but the great times as well.

Sweeney's is a great place to gather the friends for some good beer and good times. I have frequented Sweeney's for a good 5 or 6 years, this bar is the benchmark I use to compare all others.
